Advocare 24 Cleanse - Day 1

About 4 to 5 months ago, I started to see some of my friends on Facebook talking about Advocare. My mom and I were a little curious about it. Our friend Devin, who was a distributor, had kinda of told us a little about it. Well that was right around my brothers wedding. Then in late September mom and I were really frustrated with our weight and trying to get healthy but having some issues with trying to stay on track with things. We had Devin over who really went over the Advocare program with us. It really just spoke to us. After we got our order in, I would always wait till a Monday to start it so it would be easy to figure things out for me. Yet, I never would do it. I think in the back of my mind I was a little scared that this was not going work for me and also that this was going to be hard work as well. I thought it was going to be hard because of having to find things that I could have on this program and still enjoy eating food. I didn't want to be eating right and there is hardly anything I would like. When I do those type of diets or weight loss programs, I will usually do good for a couple days and then just quit.

What finally got me to start to this program after a month of getting our order was that clothes were starting to get really tight and my nice winter coat was super tight. I weighed myself that night and I was the heaviest I have ever been!!! So enough was a enough! I started the cleanse today and it has been hard for me. For one I am not a breakfast person and I hate having to get up early to make sure to get it in. I am not a morning person and I love my sleep. That's why the weekends are my favorite time of the week. The start of the cleanse about 30 minutes I drink a Spark and have a catalyst pill. I am loving the Spark. I only have two flavors right now Fruit Punch and Mandarin Orange. Fruit Punch is the better of the two I would have to say. For breakfast they say you are supposed to have a protein, a fruit and complex carb (if needed). Also, you have a fiber drink with your breakfast. The fiber drink instead too bad. For the recommendations of other people, if you don't drink it right away it gets really thick and gross. Also it helps if you mix it with a little bit of orange juice. I did end up mixing it with the orange juice and it does help to get it down. The fiber drink is not so bad, a little gritty but not horrible. You later have a mid-morning snack and then before you lunch you have the Spark drink and the catalyst again. For lunch, you have protein, vegetables and a complex carb (if needed). Again a snack before dinner and dinner is the same as lunch but then you take the Omegaplex. You get another snack before bedtime. With bedtime, I have to take Herbalcleanse pills. Through all of this, you have to make sure that you constantly drink water.

So far today I have had issues with: 1) NO SODA!! I am big Dr. Pepper fan, when you were born in Texas and lived there for awhile you easily become a Dr. Pepper fan. I normally have a couple throughout the day. With have no soda, gave me a pretty big headache.
2) I had a little trouble finding things that I can eat on the challenge. Some things have been easy, like for breakfast, but lunch and some of the snacks are little harder.
3) With all the stuff I have taken today, I have been gassy!! And it has been horrible, I feel like I am going to kill out my household. From other people I have read this is a little normal so hopefully the next couple of days won't be as bad.
Other than that, it has not been so bad. I have taken some pictures of how I look started but I am not going to post anything till the end of this challenge. I will also put where I started and how I ended it. So wish me luck on my challenge and hopefully you will follow my journey. Here is the link to the information to the Advocare Challenge.

Missing

So I realized that since I started this blog I have been missing in action for awhile. Part of my goal of starting this was to start blogging once a week. But as you all can see is that has not happened at all. I can't remember in the first entry I posted if I had put that I am going back to school. I am currently in school to get my associates degree in paralegal studies at the local community college. It is a career I am finding that I am really going to enjoy and one that is never going to go out of business. There is always some lawsuit going on just depends on what type. The two areas of law I want to work for a lawyer for is either family law, which deals with divorces, child custody & support, adoption or criminal law. Though from what I hear criminal law harder to get to be a paralegal for because that involves the state and most state's attorney don't have funding for a paralegal or they do it all their selves. If I couldn't get into criminal law, I would like to go to civil law where I could be dealing with tort laws. Right now I am taking 6 classes and that equals about 18 hours this semester. It is keeping me busy for sure. I haven't been able to get my blog the way I like and I also haven't been able to share things that are going on or my thoughts. Hopefully here soon I can do a bunch of catch up and get some posts going. So all my readers out there, if you are still there, hang on I am working on it!

My new life

If you are a reader on my other blog, a lot has happened since my last post on there. If you are a new reader, then welcome to my life. A little background, in 2009 I was divorced and moved down to Waco, TX for awhile to heal. I moved back to the Bellevegas area in August 2010. Shortly after, I got introduced to my now husband through some friends of ours. My friend Teri had sent me a text asking if I was dating anyone. I told her that I wasn't and was told to check out my husbands Facebook page and tell her what she thought. The picture that he had up had my interest sparked so I told her that I thought he was cute. I got to meet him on December 10, 2010 at Teri's house. Hubby was going to a concert with them and I was babysitting Teri's girls. We had our first date on December 12, 2010 (which was a double date with Teri and her boyfriend). Our first date was 9 hours long but the best date I have had in a long time. Most of our date was sitting in the car talking about all the stuff in common. It was funny to find out we had some people we knew in common, we bowled on the same night. We ended up getting engaged May 2011. It was such a sweet and amazing proposal. We had gone out to dinner before going to see the band that we would always go see. The band, Avery Hill Band, was performing out in Keysport. The band has a set list and after going to see them a lot we pretty much knew their list. Our song, which is by Journey, was usually in the first set and one of the first slow songs they would play. When it hadn't come up yet I was wondering what was going on. I look up and there was Jason with the mic telling me how much he loved me and that couldn't imagine his future without me. Then got down to one knee and proposed. Then the band played our song to finish things out. It was so special and I am glad he did it that way. I couldn't imagine him doing it any other. We got married on our 1 year anniversary of December 12, 2011. For us it just made sense to get married on the day we met.
It has been a great almost 3 years together. We took a wonderful honeymoon/family vacation to Disney World in September 2012. I have a post coming up for our honeymoon. We have had many fun times together including stock car races, racing banquets, vacations, family outings, and so much more. He is honestly my soul mate and I can't imagine my life with out. He is everything I was looking for in a man. He is close with his family, likes a lot of the same things I do, Christian, funny, caring, sweet, and just treats me like a princess even when sometimes I don't deserve it. With him, I inherited a fur baby named Rosie. She is a cocker spaniel and the cutest little thing. She also a spoiled little one girl too but a lot of that came from having her with me. So that is a little bit of my new life in a nutshell. I putting some pictures up of us and the baby.

New blog

So I decided to start a new blog. Since my last blog a lot of has changed and the other blog didn't feel right to keep posting things on there. I have a lot to go over and hopefully I still have some readers out there. If not hopefully this new blog will gain some readers and some people that I can start reading about their lives. So get ready to enjoy our lives.
